Fun at the Park

After a rough night, we definitely needed some fresh air. And luckily it wasn't raining, so we headed to the park that is behind the hotel. It isn't big, but she was really more interested in picking grass and pushing the merry-go-round.

  1. I have been wondering how the introductions went. Our Sofia was about the same age when we received her. Like your daughter, she displayed her grief during the night. At times she would bang her head in the crib. A week later, she slept peacefully. I can see it in your pix, Sofia looks happy and content and ohhh soooo adorable.

  7. Hello -
Have been thinking about you all, nice to see the photos of the new family! She's adorable! It's normal that she would be more upset at bedtime. Everything is so new to her and she does not know what to expect. It will pass, so hang in there!

  8. Oh, I have to repeat it too--she is darling!! How old is she? We adopted twin girls at 10 months old and one screamed for hours while the other not so much. I can tell you it certainly does get better. A later I could not believe she was the same baby. I also think it is a "good" thing she is responding completely normally. Really. She must have had a wonderful bond with her caretaker which means she will most likely attach to her Mommy and Daddy. So be encouraged that your little darling is acting for emotionally "healthy". Sleep however you can--you guys are doing great.
