Integracion

This morning we met with our attorney in Pasto to sign a document accepting full custody of Sofia. Our attorney can now begin the adoption process in the Colombian courts, which we were told could take about 20 days. We also had our integracion meeting at ICBF, and all went well. They could see Sofia was very happy with us and that we love her very much. After lunch and nap time, our interpreter/representative took us higher up in the mountains to an art cooperative where we purchased the beautiful wallhanging (pictured) for Sofia's room. We met the designer who cuts out all the little pieces of material and lays them out on cloth. Everything is handstitched with much detail. Not only will this add lovely color and Colombian culture to her room, but hopefully it will be something she will always treasure from her birthplace. The other picture is a view of Pasto from the mountains where the shop was located. Unfortunately there were some big clouds rolling in, but it was an incredible view nonetheless.
